Linda Wells, Principle and Broker of Record

Linda grew up on a ranch in Iowa where her father trained horses and sold insurance. She loves to get in the dirt and be a part of things growing in the land. Always the encourager, she went onto be a cheerleader at Evangel College. Linda has a Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas at Dallas, a Master of Science in Counseling from Amberton University, and a Texas Broker’s license.

She got her start in commercial real estate when her youngest daughter was in high school through long time West Texas friends. Starting in land and user based selling in Fort Worth with Hap Baggett in 1995, she was a part of many exciting deals, which has grown into a 28 year real estate career with over $640 million in real estate projects.

That was just the beginning of a long and fruitful career in both commercial and residential real estate. Her resume is extensive, but her fierce loyalty, wisdom, no-nonsense style, and light-hearted personality is what keeps her clients and colleagues fully devoted to her! When you work with Linda, you get the benefit of a lifetime of loyal relationships that opens doors few others can even find.

Linda has a masters in counseling, is a sustaining member of Dallas Junior League, Tuesday Garden Club, Interfaith Housing and The Stewpot, which serves The Bridge, a Homeless Shelter in Downtown Dallas. Linda has worked for years in a volunteer position with Children’s Medical Center, Bryan’s House, Child Care Dallas, and Susan Komen Breast Cancer Committee. Linda is also a member of Park Cities Presbyterian Church where she volunteers as the Committee Chairman of the EQUIP Committee that seeks to prevent homelessness in working families. Through Love for Kids, in 2019, Linda was awarded the Bill Barrett Philanthropy Award, which honors outstanding community members who make a difference in the lives of those in need within the North Texas area. She was the second woman to receive the award.

Linda raised two daughters in the Highland Park School System. Her girls and their husbands are a rewarding part of her life and she has two grandchildren.

Linda made Dallas her home in 1982 and has enjoyed the Dallas Fort Worth lifestyle extensively. She looks forward to sharing her expertise so your stay in Dallas Fort Worth will be as exciting and fulfilling as hers!

Kelli Macatee, Due Diligence & Strategy

Linda’s daughter, Kelli Macatee, was born in West Texas, where her maternal grandfather  developed apartments and restaurants during one of the oil booms. Moving to the Park Cities when she was 5, she grew up playing soccer all over the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. Kelli ultimately joined the family business in 2016 when her daughter started kindergarten at her alma matter. Kelli graduated Highland Park High School, University of Georgia, and Argosy University and holds a Texas Broker’s license.

On the commercial side, Kelli supports her mother, Linda, in all due diligence, operations, strategy, and negotiations. She loves working behind the scenes, diving into the details, and making things happen!

With over $45 million in residential sales since January 2018, Kelli Macatee is a principal founder of The Macatee + Wells Team at Compass. All residential transactions go through Compass Real Estate. Kelli is a born entrepreneur, starting by selling art projects door to door to her neighbors. Kelli has over 20 years experience in marketing, sales, project/account management, and technology. With a graduate degree in Clinical Psychology, focusing on research, brain health and family systems, she loves data and the hunt to acquire it. She has a unique combination of training that allows her to serve her clients with confidentiality, competency and excellence. Her greatest joy is to use her gifts and abilities to serve others and her community. She has been involved in many valuable community causes over the years, including but not limited to: Austin Street Homeless Shelter, The Bridge Homeless Shelter, Children’s Medical Center (now Children’s Health), EQUEST, North Texas Crime Commission, ROD Ministries (Men’s prison program), Interfaith Housing, Park Cities Presbyterian Church (City Missions, World Missions, EQUIP Program, Sunday school teacher), YoungLife West Dallas, YoungLife Highland Park, Catch Up & Read, and countless causes through her daughter. Although she has worn many hats over the years, her most prized roles are “wife” to Mark Macatee and “mother” to Jordan Macatee.

As a card carrying member of the Cherokee Nation and a daughter of the Mayflower, her love for this land and her people runs very deep!
